On Dec. 1, 2019 at 5:40 a.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of a death in Brevig Mission. Troopers responded to the village and found 29-year-old Harry Olanna deceased in his residence. No foul play is suspected and Harry’s next of kin have been notified. The body is being sent to the State Medical Examiner’s Office for autopsy.

On Dec. 1, 2019 at approximat­ely 10:15 a.m., Alaska State Troopers were notified of an assault involving multiple inmates at Anvil Mountain Correction­al Center. Investigat­ion resulted in 22-year-old Lennie Lane and 31-year-old Patrick Tickett being charged with two counts of Assault 2, 32year-old Emmanuel Adams, 24-year-old Thomas Asila, and 25-year-old Joshua Jemewouk each charged with two counts of Assault 3, and 34-year-old Benjamin Daniels charged with two counts of Assault 4. All defendants were remanded on the new charges.

On Dec. 3, 2019 Anthony Gorn, 45, of Nome, was issued a citation by the Alaska Wildlife Troopers, Kodiak Post, for failure to validate his deer harvest tickets in sequential order. Bail is set at $170 in the Kodiak Courts.

On Dec. 6, 2019 at 7:30 a.m., Alaska State Troopers received a report of an assault in Elim. Investigat­ion revealed 31-year-old Arnold Saccheus had recklessly caused physical injury to a family member, and placed another person in fear of imminent serious physical injury by means of a dangerous instrument. Saccheus was charged with two counts of Assault in the Third Degree and transporte­d to AMCC where he was held on no bail pending arraignmen­ts.
