Norwalk Realtor is a staging expert, has superb negotiating skill
ARealtor with 24 years of experience in two states, Sue Maher Drury has led one of the Norwalk area’s most successful teams for the past six years.
A Realtor in Illinois for several years, Maher Drury joined Prudential Connecticut eight years ago and stayed on when Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices New England Properties bought out Prudential about four years ago. About six years ago, Shannon Drury joined her mother’s team and three year ago Maria Reciuga joined Maher Drury & Associates.
Maher Drury, who was formerly in real estate management and has a certificate in commercial and investment real estate, said staging is the key to a great house.
An accredited stager, Maher Drury said she’s able to “look at a house and know what needs to be edited out. People often worry about staging because they think it will cost a lot of money. It doesn’t have to. We can style the house with what the homeowners already have and just bring in small pieces to do it. Our styling is totally complementary.”
Maher Drury learned some of her staging skills from her 7½ years working for Glamour Magazine where she was the merchandising editor.
“I helped bring the pages of Glamour to life,” she said. “I learned what was important behind the lens from my work with the magazine.”
Maher Drury said her three-member team all have superb negotiating skills. Maher Drury said she brings “a wealth of experience to the team” while her daughter “brings exuberance and energy. She’s able to talk to anyone and everyone about their home.”
Reciuga, Maher Drury said, “is a sold worker and understands the business inside and out. She also speaks Russian and does sign.”
The daughter of a Realtor, Maher Drury said she’s always had an interest in real estate and homes.
“I grew up and lived in a neighborhood (Yonkers, New York) where they were often doing new construction and I had a lot of interest in that at a young age,” she said.
Maher Drury & Associates covers much of Fairfield County with an emphasis on Norwalk, Weston, Westport, Stamford, Fairfield, Greenwich and Ridgefield.
“We’ve built a solid reputation for client satisfaction and I will continue that tradition,” Maher Drury said.
