Built in 2007, the shingle-style colonial at 28 Briar St. in Rowayton is listed for sale with Julie Peters of Houlihan Lawrence’s Darien office. The property — described by the listing Realtor as “like a retreat” — is listed for $1.799 million.

The kitchen has been crafted around cabinets by Alrich Cabinetry with Brazilian Verde Karzai granite on the countertops, the seller explained. Some of the upper cabinets have glass fronts.
