Avid listener enjoys helping
The sister of a Realtor and daughter of a surveyor, Carol Frattaroli was a former event planner for a national nonprofit where listening to and building relationships with clients was paramount.
Frattaroli, a Realtor with William Pitt Sotheby’s International Realty for seven years, has mastered the art of both listening and building client relationships. It’s that one-on-one interaction with clients that makes her so good at what she does.
“You have to understand where the other person is coming from, what part of life they are in and what their financial state is,” said Frattaroli, whose Stamford roots go back several generations. “I love guiding people and managing their expectations, so they aren’t caught off guard.”
Frattaroli said her motivation as a Realtor is to help others.
“I feel like I want to share my knowledge and give,” she said. “I enjoy doing that.”
Being a native of Stamford, Frattaroli said about 80 percent of her business is done in her hometown, with the rest from surrounding communities.
“I know all of the neighborhoods, the locations and the roads,” she said. “I study the market and can help my clients with that knowledge.”
Stamford, Frattaroli said, offers something for everyone.
“From the outside it looks like a big city, but for those of us who have grown up here, Stamford has been able to maintain that small-town feel,” she said. “It’s got something for everyone. It has country living, waterfront living and a vibrant downtown. It’s also got the arts, good restaurants,
bars and is very diverse.”
Much of her business is working with first-time buyers, which Frattaroli said she thoroughly enjoys.
“It’s so much fun watching them find something and fall in love with it,” she said. “They are unfamiliar with the process and might have a simple question about heating or oil or the septic. They might not understand the mechanicals of the home. I can work with them and recommend people for them.”
Frattaroli enjoys spending time with her family, playing golf and her dog, which is a Vizsla.
