The new Hearst Foundations grants continue the New York Citybased nonprofit’s distributions in Connecticut that in the past decadeplus have totaled $8 million.
Last year, Hearst Foundations donated $500,000 to Quinnipiac University School of Communications to establish the William Randolph Hearst Endowed Scholarship Fund for students from diverse backgrounds; and $150,000 for Stamfordbased AmeriCares to support free health clinics it offers locally.
