Westport voters will see few contested races in next election

WESTPORT — Outside of the main seats at the top, voters won’t see many contested races when they head to the polls on Nov. 2.

The League of Women’s Voters has put together a voter’s guide on all of the candidates along with other informatio­n on upcoming debates and voter registrati­on.

Here’s a look at who will appear on the ballot during the general election.

First selectman and selectman

Voters will select one pairing

Democrats Jonathan Steinberg and Candice Savin

Republican­s Jennifer Tooker and Andrea Moore

Libertaria­ns TJ Elgin and Louis D’Onofrio

Board of Finance

Voters will select up to three

Democrats Brian Stern and Lee Caney Republican Michael Keller

Board of Education

Voters will select up to four

Democrats Kevin Christie and Christina Torres

Board of Assessment Appeals

Voters will select up to two
