Joan Naomi Rose passed away peacefully on November 16th at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 10th, 1928. Daughter of Harry and Helen Rose. Joan was a caring and compassion­ate head nurse at Greenwich Hospital. She graduated from Norwalk High School and then went Mt. Sinai School of Nursing and Iona College. Joan was an avid golfer and sailor and loved traveling with her family and friends. Her favorite destinatio­ns were Cape Cod and Florida. Joan was a faithful parishione­r of Saint Rita Church. Joan was a very generous and loving woman involved in many charities. Joan was predecease­d by her sisters Elizabeth Ripley (Bill) and Dorothy Brady (James). Her nephews Chip Ripley, John Ripley, David Ripley and John Zatorsky. She will be forever remembered by her nieces and nephews, Jim, John, Joni (Joe), Harry (Lynne), Katie, (Jim), Tom, Stephen (Sheryl), Mark, Paul, Robert (Donna), Lizanne, Kevin (Carol) and numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins. A special thanks to Lynne, Laura, Bev, Janneth, Mary, Roz, Ama, Ada, Ruby for their wonderful care of Joan. A mass of a Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday November 22nd 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in Divine Mercy parish, St. Rita church in Hamden, CT. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery. Friends and Family may call at Sisk Brother’s Funeral Home, 3105 Whitney Ave Hamden, CT on Monday morning from 9:00-10:30 prior to the mass.
