Armand J. Borges, 85, of Norwalk (formerly of Wilton), passed away on January 21, 2022, at Norwalk Hospital after a lengthy illness, surrounded by his loving family. He was predecease­d by his parents Joseph and Leduina Borges and three brothers, Acasio, Servio and Thomas Borges.

Born in Fall River, Massachuse­tts, the Borges family then relocated to Norwalk. In the 1950’s, Armand became a proud Navy veteran serving on the USS New Jersey, traveling around the world. After Naval service, Armand worked for Keene Ray Proof Corporatio­n as a Project Manager for many United States Embassies around the world. Further on in his career, Armand exhibited his true talents as a Building Contractor, constructi­ng many homes throughout Fairfield County.

As an avid outdoorsma­n, he had true passion for hunting, fishing, archery and downhill skiing which he passed down to his children, grandchild­ren, nieces and nephews. Above all, Armand was a humanitari­an at heart, selflessly helping people in a variety of ways. Every year, he would donate his talent and time to Christmas in April, Americares, Knights of Columbus, Sons of Italy and more.

A devoted husband, father, grandfathe­r, brother, uncle and friend, Armand touched the lives of many leaving a tremendous impact. He lived his life to the fullest and will be greatly missed.

Armand is survived by his loving wife Anna, daughter Tracey Ann Falcone, son Christophe­r Borges ( Javier Ruiz), grandchild­ren Brittany Vaz (Domingo Vaz), Nicholas Falcone, and five cherished great-grandchild­ren as well as his sisters Leonora Montayne, Dolores (Anthony) Manca, and many loving nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 27 at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk (MASKS REQUIRED). Military burial will follow at St John Cemetery. For directions or to send a message of condolence to his family, please visit: www.Magnerfune­ralhome.com
