DANBURY — Nuvance Health has named a Bethel resident as the new chief human resources officer for the sevenhospital system serving western Connecticut and the Hudson Valley in
New York.
Kathryn “Katie” Cullinan was promoted from her position as vice president of strategic business partnering and human resources governance to serve in this expanded leadership position that will make her a key member of the executive team, Nuvance Health announced on Tuesday.
“Katie’s proven leadership skills and vast knowledge of workforce development and performance management will continue to elevate the culture of Nuvance Health through a collaborative and engaging environment for our employees across all disciplines,” Dr. John M.
Murphy, president and CEO of Nuvance Health, said in a statement. “She has been vital in the growth and integration of Nuvance Health, and we are excited for her to take this critically important leadership position to help shape and grow our organization into the future.
Previously managing large, complex acquisitions, divestitures and integrations for GE Capital, Cullinan has 25 years of experience in human resources and began working for Western Connecticut Health Network in 2016 as a senior HR business partner. She rose up the ranks in leadership roles after that.
“It is an honor to advance our work and culture together with a diverse and talented group of colleagues across our health system — all whom share a commitment to make Nuvance Health a leading employer and exceptional place to work,” Cullinan said. “It is a privilege to be entrusted with this opportunity to help our staff and organization reach their personal and organizational goals.”
