- By Christine Butterfield

Quinnipiac moves up to No. 2 in the UCU/USCHO Division 1 Men’s Poll while UConn slides from No. 6 to No. 8.

Last weekend the Bobcats traveled to Northern Ireland to compete in the Friendship Four tournament to face Dartmouth and No. 17 UMass.

Five different Quinnipiac players scored goals—none of which were power plays—in their 5-2 triumph over Dartmouth.

Quinnipiac took 31 shots against UMass, but only two caught the back of the net. The Bobcat’s defense held through both overtime periods, resulting in 2-2 draw.

St. Lawrence travels to Hamden on Friday, Dec. 2.

The Frozen Apple did not give the Huskies any

favors as they fell 0-6 to Cornell in Madison Square Garden. The Bears got an early 3-0 start after the

first period, despite UConn’s 27 shots they could not muster a goal.

The Huskies will visit

North Andover to play Merrimack on Tuesday, Nov. 29 then will host Merrimack on Friday, Dec. 2.
