Edward Krasnow

Edward Krasnow, age 86 of Fairfield, passed away on Thursday, December 8, 2022, at Jewish Senior Services in Bridgeport. Born in Bridgeport on May 8, 1936, a son of the late Saul and Gertrude Krasnow, he is predeceased by his wife of 56 years, Eileen Kramer Krasnow.

He graduated from Central High School, played on their football team, and then graduated from Georgia Tech with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial Engineering in 1959. He continued his education, obtaining a Degree of Juris Doctorate from Boston University in 1963. After practicing law at several firms, he opened his own law office in the late 1960’s. Later, Eileen, his son Marc and daughter Jennifer would join Edward in the practice of law at his firm. Their younger son, Jay, will start as Digital Media Lead at U.S. Space Force in January.

Edward and Eileen first met as teenagers at the wedding of Eileen’s sister,

Rhoda Kamens (Z “L). He was an avid collector of coins, stamps, and seashells, but he also had a passion for woodworking, gardening, travel and reading. Until he retired in 2017, Edward was a member of the Bridgeport Bar Association, the Connecticut Bar Association, and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association. He was also admitted to practice in the United States District Court of Connecticut.

Loving father of Jennifer Krasnow (Steven Snow), Marc Krasnow ( Joanne) and Jay Krasnow, adoring grandfather of Kayla and J.B. Krasnow and Simone Krasnow Snow, and brother of Arthur Krasnow.

Funeral services will take place at Loyalty Cemetery, 172 Burroughs Road, Fairfield on Wednesday, December 14 at

2:30 p.m.
