-

Doris Elaine Denney passed away peacefully at her home, Nov. 28, 2023, in Boise ID. She was born in Norwalk, CT, September 5, 1940.

A 1962 graduate of UCONN School of Pharmacy, she received her MBA from Boise State in 1990.

Doris has worked in many locations in her professional career. She was a senior Pharmacist at Children’s Hospital, Boston, MA, 1964-68; Project HOPE from 1969-70, where she assisted in the training of Colombian counterparts in Cartagena. Then on to Denver before arriving in Nampa, ID for the Terry Rielly Health Services, where she was director of Pharmacy until her retirement in 1999. Not one to sit around, she then did relief work for other Pharmacists around the country until 2013.

Wanderlust was always in her blood and she traveled extensively. Starting in 1964, with Europe, Doris has been to South America, South Pacific, Bahamas, and New

Zealand.

Her passions were many. There was no greater fan of UCONN women’s basketball program. The men were good, but the women ruled! Music was another of her loves, singing in the Boise Philharmonic Master chorale, concerts and her BSU music department. She was a true supporter of their program.

Sailing was a love Doris had all her life and the Southern Idaho Sailing Association group was a perfect fit for her.

Doris will be remembered for her generosity, sense of exploration, UCONN, BSU, music and love for her family and many friends.

A celebration of her life will be announced in the spring in Boise and CT.

She is survived by her nieces, Donna Denney Zenhye and her husband Ed of SC, Susan Denney Polka of Norwalk, CT and nephew, Harry Lee Denney, Jr of Bethel CT. And several grandnephews and a grandniece.
