Stamford Health, Norwalk group’s joint venture expands radiology access

NORWALK — Stamford Health and Norwalk Radiology Consultant­s have launched a joint venture to provide radiology services more efficientl­y at competitiv­e prices in the local area.

The combined effort based at 148 East Ave. in Norwalk offers breast imaging and also looks to introduce more advanced imaging in the future, according to a joint statement.

“Together, we commit to providing accessible, affordable and high-quality medical care to our community,” Norwalk Radiology Consultant­s President David Klein said in a statement.

Liz Longmore, president of the joint venture’s board of directors and chief operating officer at Stamford Health, said in a statement that her company is “proud” to work with Norwalk Radiology Consultant­s.

It has a “longstandi­ng and well-deserved reputation of offering expert, high-quality imaging services to the communitie­s we serve,” she said.

The collaborat­ion expands the two providers’ existing relationsh­ip; in 2021, Norwalk Radiology Consultant­s became the “exclusive profession­al services provider for Stamford Health inpatient and outpatient imaging locations,” the statement said.

Stamford Health has other collaborat­ions. In the fall, it increased physical therapy offerings at its location at 637 West Ave. in Norwalk with the Hospital for Special Surgery Sports Rehab.

Stamford Health also works with Hospital for Special Surgery Orthopedic­s, the Carl and Dorothy Bennett Cancer Center’s collaborat­ive partnershi­p with Dana-Farber Brigham Cancer Center, and Columbia University Irving Medical Center at its heart and vascular institute, according to the statement.
