Preschool Story Time and Wig­gle Worms re­sume in Septem­ber.

Wig­gle Worms Story Time has moved to Tuesday morn­ings at 10:30 a.m.

En­joy sto­ries, mu­sic, danc­ing, rhythm ac­tiv­i­ties, and fin­ger­play at this spe­cial pro­gram per­fect for ages birth to 3 and their care­givers. (25 to 30 min­utes).

Preschool Story Time is now every Wed­nes­day morn­ing at 10:30 a.m.

Join us for books, flan­nel­board sto­ries, fin­ger­play, and mu­sic, for preschool­ers, ages 3-6, and care­givers. (30 min­utes).

Our pop­u­lar Adult Com­puter Class Series will re­turn in Oc­to­ber. Please call if you would like to sign-up in ad­vance. 209-847-4204.

Teen Craft/Book Club is back. Please pick up a copy of our monthly se­lec­tion avail­able at the li­brary, then, join us to talk, share, and cre­ate on Tuesday, Sept. 4, at 3 p.m. We will be de­sign­ing “Paint Chip Cal­en­dars” that can carry you col­or­fully through the great months ahead.

Our Chil­dren’s Craft this month will be “dig­ging” into “Ar­chae­ol­ogy Day.” Chil­dren can de­sign an an­cient coin, look for ar­ti­facts in the “ex­ca­va­tion site” and might even find a di­nosaur bone in the ru­ins. Ex­plore with us on Wed­nes­day, Sept. 5, at 3:30 p.m.

Our “Lit­tle Sci­en­tists” S.T.E.A.M. Pro­gram for ages from Kinder­garten to 8 years old, will be on Wed­nes­day, Sept. 26, at 3:30 p.m. Lis­ten to a book then ex­plore the world of sci­ence with spe­cial ac­tiv­i­ties. There will be “ice cream” fun and learn­ing in our “sci­ence lab.” Sign-ups are re­quired in ad­vance, start­ing on Sept. 1. Please call the Oak­dale Li­brary at 209-847-4204 for info.

Bring your lit­tle ones for some Tod­dler/Preschool Dance Fun on Fri­day, Sept. 7, at 11 a.m. We’ll be “rockin’ out” to some of our fa­vorite Story Time mu­sic as well as trying the Hula, the Twist, or per­haps, a Mex­i­can Hat Dance.

Then, bring your lit­tle ones back on Mon­days, Sept. 10 and Sept. 24, at 11 a.m., for our pop­u­lar Wee Move and Play pro­gram, fea­tur­ing un­struc­tured imag­i­na­tive play. Par­ents can help their chil­dren in­ter­act to­gether, learn so­cial skills, and have fun.

En­joy our new monthly edi­tion of Fam­ily Story Time. Come for a spe­cial Satur­day Story Time ex­pe­ri­ence on Sept. 8, at 10 a.m. Books, mu­sic, fin­ger plays and more are fea­tured. This is a won­der­ful op­por­tu­nity for fam­i­lies who miss out on our reg­u­lar week­day Story Time to share the full ex­pe­ri­ence to­gether.

We will have two Lego Days this month on Thurs­days, Sept. 13 and Sept. 27, at 3 p.m. Kids can un­leash their awe­some cre­ativ­ity and we will dis­play their mas­ter­pieces in the li­brary. Join us for build­ing fun!

We will cel­e­brate “Talk Like a Pi­rate Day” on Wed­nes­day, Sept. 19 with a spe­cial craft and a week­long “Polly the Par­rot Scavenger Hunt.” Join the fun at 3:30 p.m. as we make our own “Pi­rate Maps” and search the chil­dren’s li­brary for Polly the Par­rot and the miss­ing pi­rate treasure to get your own small prize! Then take a guess at how much Pi­rate Loot is in the count­ing jar for an­other chance to win.
