Vol­un­teers Sought For Hospice

Com­mu­nity Hospice is seek­ing vol­un­teers to help the or­ga­ni­za­tion make a dif­fer­ence for pa­tients, fam­i­lies and pro­grams. Join them for an in­au­gu­ral Vol­un­teer Open House for the op­por­tu­nity to learn more about Com­mu­nity Hospice and the var­i­ous ways one may give their time and tal­ent. Vol­un­teers will meet like-minded peo­ple, gain hands on ex­pe­ri­ence, earn aca­demic/ser­vice cred­its, build their ré­sumé and feel a sense of pride know­ing you are help­ing the com­mu­nity friends and neigh­bors in need.

Op­por­tu­ni­ties in­clude: Hospice, Pal­lia­tive Care, Adult/Chil­dren Grief Sup­port Ser­vices, Hu­man Re­sources, Mar­ket­ing/Pub­lic Re­la­tions, Fi­nance, Re­tail and more.

The Open House is sched­uled for Wed­nes­day, Sept. 26 from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Com­mu­nity Hospice, 4368 Spyres Way, Modesto. No regis­tra­tion is re­quired.

Founded by two vol­un­teer regis­tered nurses in 1979, Com­mu­nity Hospice, the old­est and largest non­profit hospice provider in the Cen­tral Val­ley, has pro­vided com­pas­sion­ate and qual­ity care, com­fort and sup­port to thou­sands of friends and neigh­bors fac­ing ter­mi­nal ill­nesses in their time of need.
