COVID-19 is still here and one local business owner is still here for you

-

As we can all agree, most of our lives were turned upside down in March 2020 and truly has not been the same since. It was scary as we heard of our first COVID case here in Michigan and is still scary as we see the news update us daily that COVID is still here and there is still no cure or vaccine available. With that said, Magnum Safety Products has been with us since the beginning and has continued to help businesses re-open and get back to as somewhat of a normal as possible.

We did a story back in beginning of April about how a local tool manufacturing company (MAGNUM TOOLS) right here in Romulus shifted gears to help slow the spread of COVID-19. The owner, Dan Martin, was not interested in sitting on the sidelines as our local community watched this pandemic unfold, so he put his mind to work on how he could help reduce the spread of the virus. Shortly after he started creating his quality “Sneeze Guards”, he was endorsed by Governor Whitmer in a press conference as one of a few businesses that were stepping up during these unprecedented times. (You can see the video of the press conference by finding them on Facebook or going to their website, www.MagnumSafetyProducts.com) In the beginning, Magnum Safety Products was focused on creating these “Sneeze Guards” in standard sizes so he could mass produce them and get them out to the essential businesses that still needed to have face to face interactions with people (gas stations, grocery stores, convenience stores, medical offices, car dealerships, restaurants, law offices, insurance agencies, etc.) As the state re-opened more businesses slowly, Magnum Safety Products kept their focus on helping the local community re-open as safely as possible to prevent a massive outbreak and had to constantly re-evaluate the needs for protection they could provide.

In May, www.MagnumSafetyProducts.com had become a one-stop shop for businesses as they re-opened as well as a place for the local people to get their Personal Protection Equipment (PPE). They started stocking everything from COVID-19 safety signage, to face masks, face shields, sanitizer, gloves and more.

Chuck Anderson, the Outside Sales Manager was brought on to the team at the end of April to go out to customer sites to consult with them on what they needed to protect their employees and customers. He helped many businesses re-open their doors with just the right amount of protection, as he helped them with their game plans on how to rearrange their furniture or setup of the room to minimize the cost of re-opening as much as possible but not at the cost of lack of protection. With Chuck being able to go onsite for a FREE consultative quote, he is able to measure and create custom-made to order sneeze guards that will look good and in turn give you better protection for years to come.

Magnum Safety Products has helped many different types of businesses and government offices stay open or re-open as safely as possible. Many of our local community schools have had Magnum Safety Products come outfit their school classrooms and cafeterias with the proper protection as they were bringing back their students for the 2020/21 school year. They have also done a lot with the larger gyms, court houses, and just recently voting poll places.

As the cold weather approaches us, so does the flu & cold season which is another scary thought as a lot of the symptoms are the same as COVID-19 making it unknown if the person you’re interacting with has just a little cold or if they have COVID! The best thing we all can do to stay safe is make sure we continue to protect ourselves and others by wearing masks, constantly washing our hands and create safe areas that we can interact with each other with sneeze guards and social distancing guidelines.
