County accepting applications from students for summer jobs

The Oakland County Department of Human Resources announced it is accepting applications for seasonal job opportunities for high school and college students. Available jobs range from a summer business clerk or health education assistant to student epidemiologist, seasonal laborer or animal census workers.

Jobs generally last for 13 weeks with wages ranging from $11.31 to $15.92 per hour, depending on the position and experience, according to a press release from Oakland County. Also, Oakland County Parks and Recreation is hiring for summer jobs at all 14 county parks including five golf courses and two campgrounds, two waterparks, three dog parks, two nature centers and Holly Oaks ORV Park, according to a press release from Oakland County Parks and Recreation. Wages start at $11.31 per hour and shifts include weekends, evenings and holidays. Applicants must be 16 years of age or older.
