Waterford Our Lady advances in CHSL Tournament

A recap of high school sporting events reported to The Oakland Press on Monday night:

WATERFORD OUR LADY 65, GREENHILLS 17

The Waterford Our Lady of the Lakes girls basketball team advanced to the CHSL Tournament semifinals on Monday night thanks to a 6517 win over Ann Arbor Greenhills.

Quinn Robak had 18 points to lead the Lakers in the win, while Therese Mackowiak scored 18 and

Brooklyn Robak had 12.

WOLL (7-2) advances to the CHSL Tournament semifinal on Wednesday, where it will host Royal Oak Shrine.

ROYAL OAK 55, CHIPPEWA VALLEY 27

The Royal Oak girls basketball team improved to 8-5 on the year with a 55-27 win over Chippewa Valley on Monday.

Sarah Soraghan had 17 points and three steals to lead the Ravens, while Sarah Ammon had seven points and four rebounds.

NORTH FARMINGTON 46, OAK PARK 32

The North Farmington girls basketball team topped Oak Park on Monday night, 46-32.

Heaven Rogers had 14 points and 12 rebounds to lead the Raiders, while Sela Lefler added 14 points and three steals.

LUTHERAN NORTHWEST 53, INTER-CITY BAPTIST 46, 2OT

The Rochester Hills Lutheran Northwest girls basketball team improved to 10-0 on the season Monday night with a double OT win over Allen Park Inter-City Baptist, 53-46.

Sabrina Gottschalk led the Crusaders in the win with 26 points and 15 rebounds. Emily Grulke added 11 points.

STONEY CREEK 40,

SEAHOLM 24

The Stoney Creek girls basketball team added another win to their total on Monday, besting Birmingham Seaholm 40-24.

Emily Jacoby had nine points to lead the Maples, while Maggie Liebler had 10 rebounds with eight blocks.

CLAWSON 52, HAZEL PARK 28

The Clawson girls basketball team jumped out to a 19-2 lead and never looked back on Monday, besting Hazel Park 52-28.

Abbey Lodato had 15 points and five steals to lead the Trojans in the win, while Aliyah Vesper finished with 14 points and three steals.

SOUTHFIELD CHRISTIAN 35, WHITMORE LAKE 34

Madison Moore knocked down a pair of free throws in the closing minute to lock up a win for Southfield Christian on Monday night.

The Eagles were led in the win by Rachel Cairo, who had 17 points.

Boys basketball WEST BLOOMFIELD 61, TROY ATHENS 42

The West Bloomfield boys basketball team earned an OAA crossover win over Troy Athens on Monday night, 61-42. Ryan Hurst had 17 points to lead the Lakers while Mitchel Seay had 13, and Rishard Weaver scored 10.
