CELEBRATING 50 YEARS!

JOE’S ARMY NAVY SURPLUS PLANS SALE, RAFFLES AND GIVE-A-WAYS

-

As a thank you to its loyal customers and the community, Joe’s Army Navy Surplus will be holding a 50th Anniversary Sale and Celebration July 7 through July 10 at its two locations in Waterford and Clawson.

The celebration includes a variety of sales on the store’s full line of tactical gear, camping & prepper supplies, workwear, work shoes, military surplus and more. The Waterford location will serve hot dogs, and both locations will have vendor give-a-way bags for the first 50 guests. In addition, raffles for gift certificates, tactical sets and workwear sets are planned.

Joe’s Army Navy is one of the oldest and most authentic military surplus, and patriotic themed products, stores in the United States. Launched in 1946, the company is in its third generation of family ownership.

Joe’s Army Navy now offers an extensive collection of military and tactical clothing and footwear from all the top manufacturers including 5.11, Propper, Truespec, Bates, Rocky, and Danner Under Armour.

Owner Jeff Goldsmith says his father, Herman Goldsmith, purchased the store from its original owner in 1972. First located in downtown Pontiac, the store was moved to its present location in 1983 and the Royal Oak store was added in 1988. In July 2019, the Royal Oak location moved to its new home in Clawson. “Our goal, since 1946, has been to offer our customers quality merchandise in an environment not found in specialty stores or the mass merchants,” says Goldsmith. “This comfortable shopping experience is derived from our superior customer service and a product mix featuring commercial outdoor products, U.S. and foreign government surplus, brand name clothing and footwear, and accessories for work and outdoors.”

The store also carries kids clothing and toys.
