North Oakland VFW

Post 334 members Vicki and Chuck Haskin presented an “Oxford Strong” wood flag crafted by their son, Charles Haskin, to Danielle Stublensky, Director of Communications for Oxford Community Schools, to honor all students.

The Oxford Strong wood flag was designed and built by their son, Charles Haskin, a 1994 graduate of Oxford High School, who now lives in Maryland. Charles donated this flag to honor all of the students at Oxford High School. The presentation was made on March 24.

Chuck Haskin said that Stublensky stated that the flag was very beautiful and that our son is very talented.

“He came home for a funeral last fall for his aunt and noticed all of the Oxford Strong signs posted in the windows of Oxford and Lake Orion businesses to show their support for the Oxford Schools,” said Chuck Haskin.

“On the way home he decided to try to design a flag for the Oxford Schools. This flag displays the Oxford Strong slogan along with the High School Wildcat mascot. It is 36” long, 20” wide and 1 ½” thick.”

Charles started an online business called The Hive Warehouse, www.facebook. com/TheHiveWarehouse in which he builds custom wood projects.
