- By Kathy Blake kblake@medianewsgroup.com

STIIIZY, a Cannabis company, donated hundreds of trees in celebration of 4/20 and the company's Earth Day initiative, Trees4Trees. The company partnered with ReLeaf Michigan, a nonprofit which works with communities and organizations to protect and restore urban tree canopies across the state, according to a press release.

Sales generated from the purchase of STIIIZY products at stores in Michigan on April 20, supported ReLeaf Michigan's efforts to plant full size trees across the state. In the first 45 days of the sponsorship, proceeds supported the planting of 120 mature trees in Troy, Frankenmuth, Dearborn Heights, Tecumseh and Gaylord.

Each planting event included a minimum of 15 six-foot trees, which have a higher success rate than smaller trees. STIIIZY's sponsorship will help ReLeaf Michigan reach their goal of 25 plantings in 2023.
