The day includes a Walk a Mile in My Shoes at 9:45 a.m., starting at Oak Park Community Center. • The city of Ferndale Juneteenth Celebratio­n is at 6p.m. June 19, at Ferndale City Hall, 300E 9Mile Road, Ferndale, featuring Ferndale schools student poetry, and remarks from representa­tives from City Council and Ferndale Public Schools, www.ferndalemi.gov/news.

• The city of Royal Oak is hosting a Juneteenth celebratio­n, 3-8 p.m. Monday, June 19, at Centennial Commons, at Troy and Third St. in downtown Royal Oak, family-friendly activities, including music, games, performanc­es, food trucks and vendors, free admission.
