JUNETEENTH EVENTS
• Juneteenth Jubilee Celebration is Sunday, June 18 at Oak Park Community Center, 14300 Oak Park Blvd., Oak Park. The day includes a Walk a Mile in My Shoes at 9:45 a.m., starting at Oak Park Community Center. The day also includes a vendor market, and a Juneteenth celebration, 4-6 p.m. with ceremony and musical and dance performances, bit.ly/OPJuneteenth. The events take place during Oak

• The city of Ferndale Juneteenth Celebration is at 6p.m. June 19, at Ferndale City Hall, 300E 9Mile Road, Ferndale, featuring Ferndale schools student poetry, and remarks from representatives from City Council and Ferndale Public Schools, www.ferndalemi.gov/news.
• Juneteenth concert featuring Da’Ja jazz band is 6p.m. June 19, The Hawk-Farmington Hills Community Center, 29995 W. 12 Mile Road, Farmington Hills, reservations required, free concert, bit.ly/hawktickets.
• The city of Royal Oak is hosting a Juneteenth celebration, 3-8 p.m. Monday, June 19, at Centennial Commons, at Troy and Third St. in downtown Royal Oak, family-friendly activities, including music, games, performances, food trucks and vendors, free admission. • Oakland County Parks will celebrate Juneteenth by waiving vehicle entry fees on Monday, June 19, OaklandCountyParks.com.
