Donald “Don” Everett Fields, age 54, of Pontiac, MI, peacefully passed away on Friday, November 3, 2023. He is survived by his loving brother, Dave (Lisa) Fields, and sister, Kim (Mike) Asaro, as well as nieces, nephews, and numerous loving friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Melva and Connie Fields, and his beloved dogs, Bud and Murphy. Born on October 3, 1969, in Pontiac, MI, Don lived the majority of his life in Waterford, MI. He was a graduate of Waterford Kettering High School, Class of 1987, and worked as a Secondary Shift Lead for Profil for 11 years. He had a passion for all things adventurou­s. Some of his fondest memories were created while snowmobili­ng, enjoying trips up north, visits to Cedar Point, attending concerts, driving fast cars, and spending quality time with his friends, whom he considered family. He had a special appreciati­on for their canoe trips. Don’s fiercely independen­t and proud nature was evident in his courageous battle against cancer, a fight he valiantly maintained for over four years. He will be forever remembered for his gentle soul, quick-witted humor, and unwavering determinat­ion. In lieu of a traditiona­l funeral, Don’s expressed wish was for a Celebratio­n of Life. Please join us at OverTyme Grill and Tap Room, located at 4724 Dixie Hwy in Waterford, on Monday, November 13, from 4-7 p.m., with dinner being served at 4:30 p.m. All those attending are encouraged to bring and share their cherished stories and memories. His love for dogs was immeasurab­le, and he was a dedicated advocate for supporting dogs in rescue shelters.
