Albert “Al” S. Travsky, age 96, of Rochester Hills, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, March 9, 2024. Albert was born in Youngstown, Ohio on December 31, 1927 to Paul and Mary Travsky. He graduated as Valedictor­ian from Chaney High School class of 1945, setting the stage for a lifetime of academic and profession­al success. Al worked for Packard Electric and from there went on to earn to Bachelor’s Degree in Engineerin­g from GMI. For five decades, he devoted his career as an electrical engineer to General Motors. In addition to his academic and profession­al achievemen­ts, Albert proudly served his country with honor and bravery during World War II, Army Intelligen­ce 46-48. A man of unwavering faith, Al was an active member of the Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, finding solace and community in his spiritual journey. Al found joy in the simple of pleasure of life. He had a passion for golf, bowling, and doing yardwork. Al is preceded in death by his beloved wife Mary, as well as his brothers Paul and Daniel Travsky. He is survived by his devoted daughter Barb Travsky. His legacy as a loving father, dedicated profession­al, and a proud WWII veteran will forever be remembered by those who knew him. A memorial service for Albert will be held at 11 a.m. on April 6, 2024 at Abiding Presence Lutheran Church, 1550 Walton Blvd., Rochester Hills, MI 48309. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributi­ons in Albert’s honor are appreciate­d to The Kirk Gibson Foundation For Parkinson’s,280 N. Old Woodward Ave., Suite 106, Birmingham, MI 48009.
