Bob Wel­don Lup­ton was born on Nov. 14, 1933, in Shawnee, OK and passed from this life on Jan. 10, 2019, in Ok­la­homa City, OK. He grad­u­ated Shawnee High School in 1952 and later, at­tended both Ok­la­homa A&M and The Univer­sity of Ok­la­homa. He en­listed in the United States Coast Guard in 1953. He was as­signed to the USCGC Rock­away, re­ceiv­ing an honor­able dis­charge in 1957. Early in his ca­reer, he owned and op­er­ated B.W Lup­ton Paint Man­u­fac­tur­ing Com­pany in Shawnee. He was also a paint chemist for Black & Puryear Paint Man­u­fac­tur­ing Com­pany in Ok­la­homa City. In the early 1970s, he opened a tra­di­tional print­ing com­pany, Blue Jay Cards in Ok­la­homa City. He owned and op­er­ated "Blue Jay" for over thirty years be­fore re­tir­ing in 2003. A long­time res­i­dent of Moore, OK, he was hon­ored to serve as a Coun­cil­man on the Moore City Coun­cil in the early 1990s. He later served as Com­man­der of Amer­i­can Le­gion Post 184. He en­joyed fish­ing, hunt­ing, and Ok­la­homa foot­ball. He loved his fam­ily and took great joy in find­ing lit­tle ways to make them smile. His par­ents, Max R. and Ma­bel Lup­ton; his brothers, Ray­mond, Mor­ris, and Donal Lup­ton; and sis­ter, Au­drie Lup­ton Grand­co­las; pre­de­ceased him. He is sur­vived by his ador­ing wife of 50 years, Wilma Lup­ton. He also leaves be­hind a son, James Lup­ton; daugh­ters, Bar­bara Lup­ton, Jeanett (Jan) Lup­ton, Tresa Lup­ton, and Jenny Lup­ton; sis­ters, Jan­ice Allee and Delores McCon­nell; and brothers, Allen, Sam, Dan, and War­ren Lup­ton. He was a proud and lov­ing grand­fa­ther to 14 grand­chil­dren and eight great-grand­chil­dren. He also leaves be­hind many beloved nieces, neph­ews and friends. Ser­vices will be held on Tues­day, Jan. 14, 11 a.m. at New Life Methodist Church, 1105 NW 27th Street in Moore. Grave­side Ser­vice will fol­low at Resthaven Mem­ory Gar­dens.
