Shirley Mar­garet Kluck Kraeger Driskill, born in Hins­dale, IL on Feb. 21, 1931, left this earth to be with our Lord and Sav­ior on Dec. 16, 2018, fol­low­ing a seven-year bat­tle with mul­ti­ple myeloma. Shirley was pre­ceded in death by her par­ents, Wil­helm Kluck and Maria “Mary” Benedeck Kluck; her hus­band, Earl Wen­dell Kraeger; her sec­ond hus­band, Roger Joe Driskill; her chil­dren, Paul Wil­liam Kraeger and Theresa Marie Kraeger Hope; her brother, Wil­liam "Billy" Kluck; and sis­ter, Lor­raine Marie Kluck Gor­don. She leaves be­hind her son, David Wayne Kraeger and his wife Lori Ann Kraeger; her grand­chil­dren, Han­nah Cobb, Kas­san­dra (Kassi) Hope, Trys­tan Hope, Zachary Kraeger, Aubrey Howard, and Colby Howard; three great-grand­chil­dren; her niece, Cindy Houghton; neph­ews, Don­ald Gor­don and Dean Gor­don; sis­ters-in-law, Verna Hart­mann and Emily Kosted; and brothers-in-law, Duane Kraeger and Rus­sell Kraeger. Shirley moved to Ok­la­homa in 1942 with her fam­ily, later mov­ing to Ed­mond with her hus­band, Earl. Shirley worked and ran the OSU stu­dent union beauty shop while Earl com­pleted his de­gree in en­gi­neer­ing and later built their home in Ed­mond. She and Earl adopted their three chil­dren and raised them with unconditional love, writ­ing that this was her big­gest and proud­est life ac­com­plish­ment. Shirley was a char­ter mem­ber of Peace Lutheran Church in Ed­mond and es­tab­lished a life around the church, through which she built life­long friend­ships. Shirley en­joyed spend­ing time at Lake Eu­faula, float­ing the Illi­nois River with friends, be­ing ac­tive in the Ed­mond Elks Lodge, paint­ing, sew­ing, stamp col­lect­ing, gar­den­ing, stain glass, play­ing cards with friends, trav­el­ing with her hus­band, Roger, and later, with Friends In­ter­na­tional. Shirley was hon­ored and proud to vol­un­teer for Good Shep­herd Hos­pice for many years. She was a found­ing mem­ber of the Con­cor­dia Life Care com­mu­nity and moved there in 2007. She very much en­joyed all the close friends she met and had at Con­cor­dia, in par­tic­u­lar, her spe­cial friend and com­pan­ion, By­ron Hoon, who also pre­ceded her in death.
