NBC will broadcast a celebrity tribute to community heroes at 8 p.m. Dec. 8, announced the team producing the American Giving Awards.

It will award $2 million in Chase grants to five charities representing five community areas: educators and mentors, heroes and leaders, champions of health and wellness, community builders and youth developers.
