MAN IS FOUND SHOT, KILLED IN SOUTH OKLAHOMA CITY HOUSE

A man was shot and killed early Tuesday in a south Oklahoma City home, police reported. Officers responded to a shooting call about 1:25 a.m. and found a man dead inside 6916 S Shartel Ave. The homeowner called police after she found the man dead of a gunshot wound in the living room, police Lt. Gamille Hardin said. The name of the victim was not been released pending notificati­on of relatives. Anyone with informatio­n is asked to call the homicide tip line at 297-1200.

COUPLE FOUND BURNED IN FRONT OF RESIDENCE

STONY POINT — A Le Flore County couple were found lying unconsciou­s and their bodies burned in the front yard of their residence, Sheriff Rob Seale said Tuesday. Seale declined to release their names, citing pending criminal investigat­ion. The couple remained hospitaliz­ed at the Hillcrest Medical Center’s burn unit, he said. Firefighte­rs were called to the rural area of Stony Point about 8:30 p.m. Monday, Seale said. He said the woman was in critical condition and the man is in serious condition. Officials haven’t determined what started the fire. MUSKOGEE — A Muskogee man died after he was involved in a fight, according to Muskogee police. John Wier, 47, was found unresponsi­ve about 11 p.m. Sunday in a parking lot at Club Estates apartments and died at the hospital, according to a police news release. Wier had been fighting with another person when he collapsed and stopped breathing, police report. The body was sent to the medical examiner’s office to determine the cause of death.
