THREE DIE AFTER COLLISIONS ON OKLAHOMA ROADS

Three people died Monday in separate Oklahoma collisions, the Oklahoma Highway Patrol reported.

A 13-year-old driving a homemade go-cart died when he was struck by a pickup in Byng on a Pontotoc County road, the patrol reported.

The go-cart crossed into the path of a pickup driven by Kyle Matthew Cox, 24, of Byng. Cox was not injured in the accident, which happened about 9:50 p.m. Monday.

Cox was wearing a seat belt.

Neal was killed when he tried to make a left turn and failed to yield to oncoming traffic about 5:25 p.m. Monday on southbound U.S. 75 just south of Wilson Road about 3 miles north of Henryetta in Okmulgee County, the patrol reported.

Neal was driving east on Wilson Road when he was struck by a southbound car driven by Cecil S. Harry, 64, of Mounds. Harry was not injured.

A car driven by Ryan D. Logan, 29, of Seminole, also struck Neal’s vehicle. Logan was treated for injuries at a hospital. Seat belts were in use by everyone involved.

Diehm was a passenger in a car that was in a collision about 4:55 p.m. Monday on Interstate 35 northbound, 7 miles south of Wynnewood in Garvin County.

Diehm was a passenger in a car driven by Juanita Diehm, 73, of Ardmore, when a sport utility vehicle driven by Misty R. Diggs, 30, of Tahlequah, made a lane change and struck the car driven by Juanita Diehm.

Passenger Terry D. Lacy, 40, of Tishomingo, was taken to an Ardmore hospital where he was treated and released.

A 3-year-old boy of Tahlequah in the SUV was not injured.

Seat belts were in use by everyone except Frank Diehm.
