‘RATCHET AND CLANK’ PG 1:34

-

Based on a popular PlayStation game, the sci-fi animated feature “Ratchet & Clank” seeks to capture the kid-friendly audience this weekend, as well as the gamer crowd that has a familiarity with the space-based game characters. The film is a basic hero story about Ratchet (James Arnold Taylor, also the voice in the video game), a young lombax (a catlike creature) who dreams of joining the Galactic Rangers, only to find that the hero business is much more complicated than it seems. “Ratchet & Clank” feels like watching four episodes of a Saturday morning cartoon mashed together. No need to rush the family to the theater; you can wait for this one to hit the small screen.

Paul Giamatti, John Goodman, Bella Thorne, Rosario Dawson and Jim Ward. (Action and some rude humor)

Nick Barrow plans and sells heists to the highest bidder. When his latest job goes horribly wrong, he finds himself being hunted by the head of the cartel, Viktor Vasquez. To clear his name, Nick must expose the dirty cops who committed the crime. With both the Cartel and the cops tracking Nick, he does the only thing he can think of to help his estranged daughter, Cate: He takes out a million-dollar life insurance policy on himself with her as the beneficiary.

Vince Vaughn, Hailee Steinfeld, Bill Paxton and Jonathan Banks. (Violence, and language including a sexual reference)
