An Oklahoma City defense attorney accused of hitting a woman with his pickup in a road rage incident was arrested Wednesday.

Mark Bailey, 48, was jailed on an assault and battery with a dangerous weapon complaint. He posted $5,000 bail Wednesday.

An Oklahoma County judge on Tuesday ordered Bailey arrested for the Aug. 26 incident in The Broadway Clinic parking lot in Oklahoma City.

Police reported the victim, Danielle Jean Williams, 43, of Oklahoma City, attempted to park her car when Bailey “pulled in front of her, blocking her from parking.”

Williams said she raised her hands to Bailey and he “responded by raising his middle finger,” police reported in the arrest affidavit. She eventually backed up and parked somewhere else, police reported.

As the victim walked toward the clinic’s front doors, Bailey accelerated his vehicle toward her, according to the affidavit. Williams said Bailey “slowed down and sped up a few times” before the pickup hit her hand, police reported.

Williams said she put out her right arm to brace the impact. The pickup was traveling about 10 mph when it struck her arm, she told police.

After the impact, Williams slapped the side of the pickup and yelled, “You guys just hit me,” according to the affidavit.

Phone messages to Bailey and Williams were not immediately returned Wednesday.
