New Chargers to keep old uniforms

-

The new Los Angeles Chargers plan to keep the uniforms of the old San Diego Chargers, at least for now. And the Pittsburgh Steelers’ Antonio Brown apologizes for livestreaming from the club’s locker room following the win over the Chiefs.

So much change for the Chargers has transpired this month, between the New Year’s Day dismissal of Mike McCoy as head coach, the Jan. 12 relocation from San Diego to Los Angeles and the Jan. 13 official hiring of

Anthony Lynn as McCoy’s replacement.

The team’s uniforms will not follow suit. Not yet, anyway. No immediate changes will be made to the Chargers’ game-day attire, a team official said this week.

Brown apologizes for live video, but doesn’t rule out doing it again

Antonio Brown insists he didn’t mean to disrespect his coach or create a distraction when the All-Pro wide receiver livestreamed the raucous aftermath of the Pittsburgh Steelers’ playoff win over the Kansas City Chiefs last week.

The ever social media savvy Brown also didn’t rule out doing it again.

Hackett keeps job as Jacksonville offensive play caller, staying as familiar face for QB

Tom Coughlin and new coach Doug Marrone ended up retaining both coordinators from Gus Bradley’s final season.

Jacksonville’s new regime formally kept

Nate Hackett as offensive coordinator Wednesday, providing some continuity for quarterback Blake

Bortles.

Hackett, who was originally hired as the team’s quarterbacks coach before the 2015 season, replaced fired offensive coordinator

Greg Olson in late October and helped the Jaguars (3-13) make strides in a number of categories.
