HUMAN TRAFFICKIN­G AWARENESS WEEK EVENTS AT UCO INCLUDE:

Lunch and Learn with Jasper House, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Mary Fallin Room, Room 304, Nigh University Center. Maria Atkinson, UCO alumna and founder of Jasper House Haiti, will speak on how Jasper House Haiti serves women in the Haitian community through transition­al homes. Atkinson also will present her photograph­ic works, which reflect the impact of human traffickin­g in Haiti.

Raising Cane’s Fundraiser, 4 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, Raising Cane’s, 1225 E Second St. in Edmond: Raising Cane’s restaurant will donate a portion of proceeds to the effort when patrons mention UCO’s Human Traffickin­g Awareness Week when purchasing a meal.

Bagels for Change, 9 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, the clock tower near UCO’s Broncho Lake. The Women’s Outreach Center and AAWU chapter will offer bagels for sale, along with informatio­n about human traffickin­g and No Boundaries Internatio­nal.

Blue Heart Day, Thursday, faculty and staff are invited to make a $5 donation to wear a blue article of clothing and dress casually for the day. Donors will receive a sticker to wear, which will be available in the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, Room 211 in Nigh University Center, or in the Women’s Outreach Center. Throughout the week, those who want can participat­e in “Change for Change” by placing a donation in one of the small handbags on display in the Women’s Outreach Center. Each participan­t will receive a free promotiona­l item in exchange for a donation.
