EL RENO — Preteen day camps in June and July will keep the hallways hopping at Canadian Valley Technology Center’s two area campuses.

CV Tech Quest will feature nearly two dozen class options, including Lego Discovery, Healthcare Highway, PC Gaming & Programming and Digital Photography.

“CV Tech Quest is an exciting way to introduce younger students to careers,” said Canadian Valley’s Jeremy Eaton, who serves as campus director at both sites.

Many of the courses incorporate elements of full-time programs offered at CV Tech, and most are taught by the school’s instructors.

Other course options include Basic and Advanced Robotics, Streaming into Space, Science of Crime and Salon Dive.

The five-day camps are from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. for students entering fourth through ninth grade in the 2017-18 school year. Weeks available are June 5-9, June 12-16, July 10-14 and July 17-21.

The camps are offered at the Cowan Campus, 1701 S Czech Hall Drive near Yukon, and at the El Reno Campus, 6505 E State Highway 66.

Bus transportation will be provided at 8:15 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. to take students back and forth between sites. That allows parents the option of dropping their children at one campus even if their course is only offered at the other site. It also will help parents who have children attending camps at both sites the same days.

Parents can enroll their children by phone or in person at either school site. An enrollment form is available at cvtech. edu. The phone number to call is 345-2500. The cost is $80 per child. The fee includes a T-shirt and daily snack.

For a list of courses and the weeks they are offered, go to cvtech.edu or check CV Tech’s Facebook page: Canadian Valley Technology Center.
