Muncy, Thompson and Davis lead OKC in win

Max Muncy, Trayce Thompson and Ike Davis each had three hits, as the Oklahoma City Dodgers beat the Fresno Grizzlies 14-5 at Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark on Sunday.

Muncy doubled and singled twice, scoring a pair of runs while also driving home a couple. Thompson homered and singled twice, scoring three runs and driving home a couple.

Oklahoma City started the scoring in the first inning when Muncy and Davis hit RBI singles.

Fresno answered in the next half-inning when Colin Moran hit a solo home run to cut the deficit to one.

Oklahoma City later scored in four additional innings, including a fiverun sixth, when Davis hit an RBI double and then scored on a single by Darnell Sweeney to help punctuate the blowout.

Oklahoma City righthande­r Trevor Oaks (1-1) picked up a quality start and the win after allowing two runs on six hits over six innings. Opposing starter Francis Martes (0-1) took the loss in the Pacific Coast League game after a rough outing in which he allowed five runs and six hits over three innings.

Oklahoma City had a pair of season bests in its victory, drawing eight walks and hitting five doubles.

Tony Kemp doubled three times and singled twice, driving home two runs for the Grizzlies.
