Alva man arrested twice on drug, prostitution complaints
Authorities said an Alva man was arrested twice in August, accused of attempting to sell drugs through Craigslist and offering drugs in exchange for sex.
Brandon Harmon, 32, was first arrested on Aug.
12 after he posted an advertisement on Craigslist to sell methamphetamine. Canadian County deputies responded to the posting, posing as a woman, and arranged to meet Harmon at a truck stop, according to a news release.
After arriving at the truck stop, deputies arrested Harmon, who had more than three grams of the drug in his possession and also had a handgun that authorities said was stolen during a burglary in Edmond.
Harmon was released on bail and just over two weeks later was arrested again after he allegedly solicited drugs for sex on social media.
On Aug. 29, Harmon communicated with a Canadian County deputy posing as a woman and said he had cocaine and would provide drugs in exchange for sex for himself and another man.
Harmon and Dywon Vaughn, 36, of Enid, arrived to the agreed upon location and were arrested. Investigators said they found methamphetamine, cocaine, Xanax and PCP during the arrest.
Both men were taken to the Canadian County jail on complaints of drug possession and soliciting prostitution. Harmon was released on $25,000 bail on Wednesday and Vaughn remains in jail in lieu of $18,000 bail.
