Baker Mayfield (Lake Travis)
While Oklahoma hasn’t played at AT&T Stadium since 2010, several Sooners have played there. The home of the Dallas Cowboys regularly hosts Texas high school playoff games and a handful of current Sooners who figure to contribute against TCU have experience at the stadium:
Rodney Anderson (Katy)
Anderson’s Katy team played in three consecutive state championship games at AT&T Stadium, winning in 2012 and falling in 2013 and 2014 — all against Cedar Hill. Anderson had monster games, though, even in the losses.
Robert Barnes (Southlake Carroll)
When Barnes was a sophomore in 2014, the Dragons won back-to-back games at AT&T Stadium to start the playoffs. As a junior in 2011, Mayfield threw for 294 yards and a touchdown in a 22-7 win over Waco Midway in the Class 4A Division I state title game. It was Lake Travis’ fifth consecutive state title.
Kyler Murray and Bobby Evans (Allen)
Murray capped off an incredible career with 316 passing yards and five touchdowns, plus 63 yards rushing, in a 47-16 state title win over Cypress Ranch in the 2014 Class 6A Division I title game. It was the Eagles’ third playoff game that season in the stadium.
Erick Wren (Mesquite Horn)
Wren was a sophomore in the 2010 Horn team that beat Rowlett 44-22 in the second round of the playoffs.
