Nonprofit continues ‘12 Days of Giving’

- FROM STAFF REPORTS

Youth Services for Oklahoma County (YSOC), a nonprofit organization in Oklahoma City that helps young people who are vulnerable, homeless or at-risk of being homeless, is hosting its third annual “12 Days of Giving” campaign.

The campaign is continuing through Dec. 12 and will help provide needed resources to teens while also providing an opportunity for individuals and families to give back to the community and support those who are less fortunate during the holiday season.

“The youth and families we serve are struggling and the holidays can be especially hard on them,” said Kami Kuykendall, president and CEO of Youth Services for Oklahoma County. “We want to help make the holidays brighter for them and, thankfully, our generous community enables us to do just that.”

The items requested during the 12 Days of Giving include: beef jerky, cereal, granola, protein and breakfast bars, fruit cups, fruit snacks, nonperishable microwave meals, peanut butter, jelly, men’s and women’s socks, men’s and women’s underwear, men’s and women’s lounge pants, twin sheet sets, extra-long and standard pillows, mini first-aid kits, hair brushes and combs.

Donated items may be dropped off during business hours at YSOC’s offices at 201 NE 50. Businesses, groups and organizations also are welcome to drop off items. For donors who would like to make a financial donation, they may do so securely online at www.ysoc.org or by texting “YSOC” to 91999.
