Alanis Morissette heading for Hard Rock Tulsa
CATOOSA — Alternative rock icon Alanis Morissette is bringing her award-winning catalog of music to Oklahoma for a March 15 show at The Joint inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Tulsa, 770 W Cherokee St.
Morissette is known as one of the most influential singersongwriters in contemporary music. She landed on the scene with her 1995 groundbreaking, debut album, “Jagged
Little Pill,” which included numerous hits like “You Oughta Know,” “Hand In My Pocket,” “Ironic,” “You Learn,” and “Hand Over Feet.” The album earned two Grammy Awards for Best Rock Album and Album of the Year. Her first single, “You Oughta Know” also won Best Rock Song the same year.
She followed up her debut success with multiple acclaimed albums like “Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie,” “MTV Unplugged,” “Under Rug Swept,” “So-Called Chaos,” “Jagged Little Pill Acoustic,” her greatest hits album, “The Collection,” “Flavors of Entanglement,” “Havoc and Bright Lights,” and “Jagged Little Pill: Collector’s Edition.” In 2015, Morissette was inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame.
She launched her monthly podcast, “Conversation with Alanis Morissette” in 2016 to feature conversations about art, spirituality, health and well-being with a variety of authors, doctors and educators.
