Special judge takes oath of office
Scott Brockman was sworn in Friday as special judge for Cleveland County.
Brockman took the oath of office during in the ceremonial courtroom of the Cleveland County Courthouse. He was appointed to fill the position left vacant when Judge Michael Tupper was appointed to the position of district-judge.
His duties as special judge will include presiding over criminal misdemeanors, traffic cases, victim's protective orders, small claims and various civil dockets. His assignments also will include magisterial duties on felony cases, arraignments and jury trials by assignment.
