Good Friday event is planned
EDMOND — Good Shepherd Church will host a performance of Joseph Haydn’s “The Last Words of Christ on the Cross” at 7 p.m. Friday at 1000 N Broadway.
The free event will feature the University of Central Oklahoma Student String Quartet.
“One should come to the foot of the cross on Good Friday to experience the joy of Easter,” said the Rev. Michael, rector of Good Shepherd.

‘Way of the Cross’ marks 20th anniversary
NORMAN — Members of St. Thomas More University Parish, University Lutheran Church, St. Anselm of Canterbury Episcopal Church and other groups will pray the Way of the Cross at 3 p.m. Friday on the University of Oklahoma campus.
Participants will begin at St. Thomas More at Jenkins and Stinson streets, two blocks south of Oklahoma Memorial Stadium. People can join the walk at any time as it progresses across campus.
On Good Friday, participants in the Way of the Cross on the OU campus stop and pray at various university locations. A map of the route is available from St. Thomas More’s parish office and online at stm-ou.org (under the “Faith Formation” tab).

Group offers Passover Seder
COYLE — A traditional Passover Seder will be offered at 7:30 p.m. Friday at St. Francis of the Woods, 11414 State Highway 33.
The event is sponsored by the Jewish Center of Indian Country. It will include reading and singing the ceremonial text; singing; and eating special Passover foods.

Author will give lecture
NORMAN — Author Nyla Khan will give a free lecture entitled “Unity, Diversity and Pluralism” at 7 p.m. April 13 at the Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History, 2401 Chautauqua in Norman.
She will lead a workshop from 9 a.m. to noon on the same day at First Congregational Church of Norman UCC, 1014 Elm Avenue. The church also is sponsoring her lecture at the museum.

Interfaith group will conduct project
Many Beliefs Serving Together, the volunteer arm of the Interfaith Alliance of Oklahoma, is planning an event with Rebuilding Together OKC on April 14.
The group is seeking volunteers to help make a home in the Akers Park neighborhood of Oklahoma City safe, warm, and dry for the homeowner.
This will be part of the 26th annual Rebuilding Day to benefit a low-income Oklahoma City neighborhood.
Volunteers for the April 14 event should register on the Google form at www.tiaok.org and follow the link to fill out a volunteer application form for Rebuilding Together OKC.
Volunteers must select the “TIA RD 2018” work group when they fill out this application.
