Saucedo returning home for Top Rank bout in OKC
Undefeated super lightweight and Oklahoma City resident Alex Saucedo will return home June 30 for the "Top Rank on ESPN" boxing card at Chesapeake Energy Arena.
The 23-year-old Saucedo — 27-0 and ranked No. 3 by the WBO at 140 pounds — will face Lenny Zappavigna (37-3) in a 10-round bout.
“It’s a huge opportunity for me, and I am thankful to be fighting at home on ESPN," said Saucedo, whose family moved to Oklahoma City when he was 7 years old. “... I’m ready for the moment.”
The card will also feature Gilberto Ramirez
(37-0) defending his super middleweight title against Alexis Angulo (23-0).

NWTF banquet set Saturday in Shawnee
The National Wild Turkey Federation is holding the 13th annual "21 Gun Salute" banquet and fundraiser Saturday at the Heartland Expo Center in Shawnee.

OU, OSU men's golf selected as top seeds
Oklahoma men's golf has been selected as the No. 1 seed for the NCAA regional in Norman, and Oklahoma State will compete as the top seed at the Columbus Regional in Ohio, the NCAA announced Wednesday.
A total of 81 teams and 45 individuals were selected for the six regionals that are scheduled to take place May 14-16.
