Galia Lahav trunk show set for J.J. Kelly Bridal

A Galia Lahav of Israel bridal event featuring luxurious and dramatic gowns is planned June 22-24 at J.J. Kelly Bridal.

Lahav is a worldrenowned designer known for her lavish and intricate gowns favored by celebrities and aristocratic women abroad. Beyonce wore the design house’s “Thelma” style gown for her recent vow renewal with Jay-Z.

The gown from the Victorian Affinity collection paid homage to Queen Victoria’s wedding dress through the corseted bodice, Chantilly lace and Victorian bustle details. Beyonce’s version incorporated modern elements such as sheer cut-outs, an off-the-shoulder neckline and Swarovski crystals and pearl adornments.

J.J Kelly’s bridal event costs $50 and includes a two-hour appointment and invitation to the cocktail preview party from 5 to 7 p.m. June 21.

The preview party will give brides and one guest a sneak peek at the gowns that will be available to try on during the event weekend. There is a $25 charge per additional guest.

For the weekend only, brides will receive 10 percent off their Galia Lahav gown purchase. Galia Lahav has two collections. Prices for the Couture collection start at $7,000; her Gala collection, $4,000.
