Saloon Series to return to cowboy museum BOK Center to welcome Latin music phenom
The National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum, 1700 NE 63, is bringing back its popular Saloon Series nights from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Thursdays in July and August.
The series events include whiskey tasting, featured cocktails and live local music.
Starting next Thursday, the museum’s replica turn-of-the-20th-century town, Prosperity Junction, takes center stage for the unique happy hour. From American bourbons and Japanese whiskeys to Islay Single Malt Scotch and Forty Creek Old Fashioned drinks, each week features a new whiskey theme and featured cocktail. Patrons are encouraged to not only try new drinks, but also learn about the history of each drink and what it pairs well with.
Different live musicians are featured each week, starting with The Dalbys next Thursday and continuing with local favorites like Justin Joslin, Casey & Minna, Grassland Caravan, Mallory Eagle, Ken Pomeroy, Kent Fauss Duo, Pat Payne and Steelwind. The program is offered in cooperation with Southern Glazer’s Wine and Spirits as well as the Rodeo Opry Foundation
The program is $25 at the door and includes a whiskey flight, one full drink ticket, one food ticket, whiskey class, live music and museum admission. For nonwhiskey drinkers, museum admission is $5. Patrons must be 21 years old to enter.

TULSA — Latin music phenomenon Ozuna’s “Aura USA Tour 2018” begins on Sept. 7 and will reach 30 cities in the United States, including Tulsa, with more cities to be announced.
Ozuna, who is billed as the most popular music artist in the world, will tour the USA with a new concert production packed with state-of-the-art LED screens, sound, lights and pyrotechnics, according to a news release.
The tour will stop in Tulsa Oct. 19 at the BOK Center, 200 S Denver. Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday and will be available online at www. bokcenter.com, at Arby’s Box Office at BOK Center or by calling 866-726-5287.
