OU announces women's basketball schedule
Oklahoma women's basketball non-conference schedule includes a Dec. 19 home matchup against national power Connecticut among its five home games, OU announced Thursday.
The matchup against the Huskies is one of potentially five non-conference games against teams that made the NCAA Tournament a year ago — UConn, DePaul, South Florida, Western Kentucky, and a potential matchup against Tennessee in the Bahamas.
The Sooners will host an exhibition Nov. 5 against Northeastern State at Lloyd Noble Center before opening the regular season Nov. 9 against Western Kentucky.
Other highlights of the schedule include a trip to the Bahamas to open the Junkanoo Jam against University of Alabama-Birmingham on Nov. 22 before playing either Clemson or Tennessee in the following game.
OU also will travel to Auburn on Dec. 2 for the SEC/Big 12 Challenge.
After that, the Sooners will return home for three games, including a Dec. 9 matchup with DePaul, which beat Oklahoma in the first round of last season's NCAA Tournament.
