Acosta family makes two hole-in-ones in same tournament

Making a hole-in-one is a special moment. But it’s even better when two members of the same family do it in the same tournament.

That’s what happened over the weekend for the Acosta family in a golf tournament fundraiser at John Conrad Golf Course.

Yukon senior golfer Ashlyn Acosta made her first hole-inone on No. 4 from 123 yards out. Then, her uncle, Ashley Acosta, made his first on No. 12 from 162 yards out.

Westmoore quarterback Dayton Wolfe scored five touchdowns on Friday night against Enid.

The Jaguars needed every single one.

After jumping out to a quick 14-0 start after Wolfe connected on touchdown passes of 54 yards to Jacob Clark and 17 yards to Colby Phillips, Enid came roaring back thanks to two touchdown runs by WillPhillips.

Wolfe then got started on the ground, running in a score from eight yards out right before the end of the first half to give Westmoore a 21-14 lead at the break.

After Enid scored on its opening drive of the second half, Wolfe answered with another rushing touchdown.

Enid responded again with another score to tie it up at 28-28, but Westmoore running back Chris Oliver scored two rushing touchdowns and Wolfe added his fifth touchdown of the night with less than a minute remaining to give Westmoore the win on the road 50-35. On the night, Wolfe finished 14-of-20 for 202 yards passing and two scores, while adding the three rushing touchdowns.
