Express Employment wins honors
Oklahoma City-based staffing agency Express Employment Professionals has received the Safety Standard of Excellence mark from the American Staffing Association.
Developed by ASA and the National Safety Council, the program is designed to promote industrywide safety best practices.

Pharmacist wins national honor
SAND SPRINGS — Jim Spoon has been named Independent Pharmacist of the Year by the National Community Pharmacist Association.
Spoon opened his first pharmacy in Sand Springs in 1979 and has a decades-long history of professional leadership and community service. He was a member of the Oklahoma State Board of Pharmacy for almost 20 years and has held every leadership position at the Oklahoma Pharmacists Association.
The award is given to a pharmacist who exhibits exemplary professional leadership, service to community and commitment to independent pharmacy, according to the association.
"We are proud to honor Dr. Spoon for his exemplary service to his community, a quality shared by our nation's community pharmacists, and for exhibiting outstanding leadership in all of his endeavors," said Rusty Field, CEO of Upsher-Smith, which sponsors the award.
