Harding Charter to hold open house
Harding Charter Preparatory High School will host its first Prospective Student/Family Open House at 7 p.m. Nov. 13 at in the school auditorium, 3333 N Shartel Ave.
The evening will include meeting teachers and administrators and a short tour of the classrooms and building.
“Families interested in learning more about the school are encouraged to come to a prospective student session. At these events, prospective students and parents can meet the administrators and teachers, learn about the unique opportunities we provide to our students, and see the school,” Principal Steven Stefanick said.
Families also may receive an application for the 2019-20 school year, or they may submit their completed application at the event. Applications for the 2019-20 school year can be found at www.hardingcharterprep.org and will be accepted through 4:30 p.m. March 1.
This year’s senior class, consisting of 102 seniors, were awarded $5.2 million in scholarships. The senior class boasted of 43 College Board Advanced Placement (AP) Scholars and 34 students earning at least nine hours of college credit. Of these graduates, 100 percent were accepted into postsecondary education.
Harding Charter Prep was founded in 2003 as a college preparatory high school with an open access Advanced Placement curriculum.
Future Prospective Parent/Student nights are planned for 7 p.m. Jan. 15 and Feb. 7.
