Redlands group plans Native American Heritage Month events

The Redlands Community College Native American Student Organizati­on will present several events Tuesday through Thursday in recognitio­n of Native American Heritage Month.

The organizati­on will partner with the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes’ Higher Education Department to hold a college and career fair for area high school students from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday in the Redlands Conference Center.

Also planned is an exhibition of Native American dancing beginning at 10 a.m. Thursday in the conference center. Cheyenne Chief Gordon Yellowman will host the event, which will feature a variety of women’s and men’s dances and free Indian tacos.
