Lunchtime will focus on family’s Civil War history
The Cherokee Strip Regional Heritage Center will host a free Brown Bag Lunch and Learn presentation at noon Nov. 14. Speaker Craig McKinley will discuss his family’s Civil War history.
Those who attend also can see the exhibit “The 1893 Land Race: A Legacy of Community” before it closes Nov. 17. The exhibit focuses on early life and town-building efforts in the Cherokee Outlet just after the land run.
